About

Creative in Finland exists to deepen your visit to Finland

To reflect on what you experienced, internalise it and understand what it revealed.

The Concept

A way to understand your experience

Creative in Finland is built on a simple idea:

The most meaningful part of travel is not what you see, but how you experience it.

Instead of observing Finland from the outside, you are guided to reflect on what stood out, what felt different and what stayed with you.

The process is structured, accessible and designed to create a moment of pause.

What you create is not just an artwork, but a way to capture your experience of Finland.

Why Creative in Finland exists

Creative

People travel to Finland for many reasons, from education and sustainability to culture and curiosity. They follow programmes, visit key places, and experience something different.

But what stays with them is often not a specific place.

It is how the country felt.
The clarity, the calm, the way things worked.

These impressions are rarely given space. They are felt, but not always understood, and are often lost as the visit continues.

Creative in Finland was created to introduce that space. A moment to reflect on what was experienced, understand what stayed, and leave with something that captures it.

How this approach was developed

Creative in Finland began with a simple observation.

Working with international visitors in many parts of the world, it became clear that people often remember how a place felt more than what they did there. Yet those impressions are rarely given time or attention.

The most meaningful part of a visit is not just where you go, but what it awakens.

The first versions of this approach were developed in 2024 in the forests of Nuuksio, just outside Helsinki.

What started as a small-scale way to reflect on the experience of being in Finland has since evolved into a structured method, designed for different groups and settings.

It draws on years of international experience and a long-standing interest in how people process and remember places. Over time, it became clear this was not just a creative format, but something different.

This part of the experience is rarely recognised, and even more rarely understood.

Creative in Finland continues to develop from that idea.
