The Experience
About the creative experience
Do I need any artistic experience or skills?
Absolutely not. Creative in Finland is designed to be 100% beginner-friendly. The experience is not about producing a masterpiece — it’s about the process of reflecting on your time in Finland and expressing it visually. Our facilitators guide you through every step, so no prior experience is needed whatsoever.
What exactly happens during the experience?
Each guest receives a canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, and all necessary materials. A facilitator guides the group through a creative process at a calm, relaxed pace. The focus is on exploring and reflecting on your personal impressions of Finland — the colors, the atmosphere, the moments that stayed with you — and translating them into your own visual expression. You leave with a finished, individual artwork to take home.
How long does the experience last?
The duration depends on the experience format. The Private Edition runs 2–4 hours for a deeper, more immersive pace. The Signature Group and Large Group experiences run approximately 2 hours. All timings are flexible and can be discussed when you enquire.
What materials are used?
We use professional-quality stretched canvas, acrylic paints in a curated Nordic-inspired palette, brushes, and all supporting materials. Everything is included — guests don’t need to bring anything. We also offer artwork packaging and travel protection as an add-on so guests can safely carry their paintings home.
What languages are available?
The experience is available in English and Finnish. Please let us know your preferred language when booking and we’ll arrange the right facilitator for your group.
Do guests keep their artwork?
Yes — every guest creates their own individual piece and takes it home. The artwork is yours to keep as a personal memento of your time in Finland. We can also provide packaging to help protect it during travel if needed.
Logistics
Location, setup & practicalities
Where does the experience take place?
We come to you. Creative in Finland is a fully mobile experience — we bring all materials and set up at your chosen location. This can be a hotel, conference room, cruise ship, private venue, outdoor setting, or even a private island. If you’re interested in our forest experience, we also host sessions in Nuuksio National Park near Helsinki.
What space do we need at our venue?
We need a space with enough room for guests to sit at tables with their canvases. A standard meeting room or event space works perfectly. We handle all setup and cleanup — you just need to make the space available. We’ll discuss specifics with you when planning your experience.
How much setup and cleanup time is required?
We typically arrive 30–45 minutes before the session to set everything up, and we handle all cleanup once the experience is complete. The space will be left exactly as we found it. Your team doesn’t need to do anything.
Can the experience take place outdoors?
Yes. Outdoor settings are one of the most memorable options — painting in Finnish nature adds a completely different dimension to the experience. We can organize outdoor sessions in suitable weather, and we also offer our dedicated forest experience in Nuuksio National Park. Please mention your interest in an outdoor setting when you get in touch.

What group sizes do you accommodate?
We offer three formats: the Private Edition for 5–12 guests, the Signature Group for 12–25 guests, and the Large Group Experience for 25–60+ guests. If you have a very small group (fewer than 5) or an exceptionally large group, please reach out and we’ll discuss what’s possible.
Is this suitable for corporate teams?
Yes, absolutely. Creative in Finland is a popular choice for corporate teams, incentive programs, and company events. The experience encourages relaxation, personal reflection, and natural conversation — making it an effective and memorable alternative to traditional team activities. It works particularly well as part of a conference program, a team-building day, or a client event.
Can you work with cruise ship or travel program groups?
Yes — this is one of our most popular formats. We regularly work with DMCs, cruise programs, and tour operators. We can host the experience onboard or at a nearby venue, and our Large Group format is specifically designed for smooth, high-quality delivery at scale. We’re happy to discuss logistics and timing to fit your program.
Is the experience suitable for mixed groups — different ages, nationalities, backgrounds?
Yes, and this is one of the things that makes Creative in Finland particularly special. Creativity doesn’t require a shared language or cultural background. The experience is designed to work for international, mixed groups — it’s accessible, gentle, and guided in a way that includes everyone regardless of age or background.
Pricing & Booking
How to book & what it costs
How does pricing work?
Pricing is per person and depends on your group size and experience format. The Private Edition (5–12 guests) is €170–€240 per person. The Signature Group (12–25 guests) is €120–€160 per person. The Large Group Experience (25–60+ guests) is €80–€120 per person. All prices include materials, facilitation, setup, and cleanup. Visit our Pricing page for full details.
How do I book?
Simply fill in the enquiry form on our Contact page with your group size, preferred date, and any details about your group or location. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours on weekdays to confirm availability and discuss the details. You don’t need to have everything figured out — just a starting point is enough.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during busy travel seasons. For larger groups or custom experiences, more lead time is helpful. That said, if your timing is tight, feel free to reach out — we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy will be outlined clearly in your booking confirmation. We understand that travel plans can change, and we try to be as flexible as possible. Please contact us as early as you can if you need to adjust or cancel a booking.
Can you accommodate last-minute changes to group size?
Yes, within reason. We prepare materials based on your confirmed guest count, but small changes are usually manageable. Please let us know as soon as possible if your numbers change so we can adjust accordingly.
